Saline Area Chamber of Commerce
The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented Project Assistant to the Executive Director to help advance the Chamber’s mission and strategic priorities. This position provides administrative, project, communications, and operational support while serving as a key partner to the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment that supports local businesses, community partnerships, events, and member engagement.
Position Summary
The Project Assistant to the Executive Director provides support across member services, events, special projects, communications, and daily operations of the Chamber. This role requires strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. This is a part-time position 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and project support to the Executive Director
- Assist with Chamber communications, member outreach, and engagement activities
- Support planning and coordination of Chamber events, programs, and special initiatives
- Help maintain membership records, databases, and CRM systems
- Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and follow-up communications
- Support day-to-day office operations and member service activities
- Collaborate with Chamber staff, board members, volunteers, and community partners
- Assist with social media updates, marketing materials, and promotional communications
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
- Experience in a nonprofit, chamber, association, or small office environment
- Familiarity with event planning or member-based organizations
- Experience with CRM or membership database systems
- Social media or basic marketing experience
- Professional, dependable, and service-oriented
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Comfortable interacting with business leaders, board members, and community partners
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
