MDHHS Extends Emergency Orders
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) today revised and extended its epidemic orders to contain the spread of COVID-19 and there are some important updates to make you aware of concerning the new rules.

Maximum size for indoor gathering has been reduced from 500 to 50 people (i.e. weddings, parties, and banquets).

Maximum size for residential indoor gatherings is 10 people (with masks) & outdoor gatherings is 100 people (with masks).

For social events outside of private homes (i.e. bars & restaurants) party sizes at a single table are now restricted to 6 people.

Bars & restaurants are now required to collect names & contact information to promote effective contact tracing. The CDC has shown visiting these establishments puts patrons at a higher risk of COVID exposure.

Businesses MUST refuse admittance to patrons without a mask (few exceptions allowed).

New recommendation for indoor social gatherings:

Indoor gatherings should include no more than 10 people from 2 different households

Wear masks when around people not from your household

Maintain social distancing

Keep voices down to a reasonable level

Employees who can work from home shall do so.
