Area Business Owner Steps Up to Head
Chamber’s Emergency Economic Relief Fund
Saline, Mi. –Susan Rosales, the owner of Susan Rosales State Farm Insurance located at 166 S. Industrial Saline, has stepped forward to head up the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to fund the recently announced Emergency Economic Relief Grant Fund. The Fund is part of the Chamber’s “Stage 2” strategy to help stimulate the local economy and help local businesses as recovery efforts continue from this year’s financial downturn.
Initially, the fund will be providing grants in the amount of $250 to complement other existing programs already in place. Basically a “go-to” resource at the Chamber, this fund will provide short term relief to business members finding themselves in immediate need to meet unexpected short term expenses in a period of economic recovery.
“When I heard about it I wanted to be one of the first to volunteer with our financial support for this great cause,” says Rosales. “I’m impressed with the level support our Saline Area Chamber of Commerce has put forth already during this crisis and thinking outside the box to help businesses. It shows they know how to get money directly into the hands of business people who need it. Moving forward with yet another local program, the Chamber demonstrated they ‘walk the walk’ when it comes to being a valuable business community resource. When the Chamber called and asked if I could head up efforts to grow the Emergency Economic Relief Grant Fund I was more than willing to be part of the process! Life is about helping those in your community to make it a better place. I’m glad to do my part. ”
